Guy Gunaratne’s first novel, In Our Made and Furious City, won the International Dylan Thomas Prize, the Jhalak Prize and the Club Best First Novel Award for 2019. It was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize and the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction and was also shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize and the Gordon Burn Prize in 2018.
