Yes, you would need to register as a Festival Delegate to avail festival organized transport to the Music Stage & other events. However, Jaipur is a well connected city with plenty of public transport. Uber and other taxi services are available as well.

4. Are there shuttle services from Diggi Palace to the Music Stage/hotel?

Yes, there is an evening Festival Shuttle Service from Diggi Palace (Festival Hub) to Hotel Clarks Amer (Music Stage venue) at scheduled timings but this is for Festival Delegates only. While registering, Delegates can avail this facility at a special rate.

1. If I submit my work, can I be featured at JLF?

The Festival format does not allow submissions as programming. Featured speakers are pre-determined by the Festival Directors.

2. How can I become a volunteer for JLF?

Anybody above the age of 18 with a valid photo ID card can volunteer at the Jaipur Literature Festival. While preference is given to Jaipur locals, all are welcome to apply! If interested, please complete and submit the online application form on our website. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview in Jaipur between October and November. Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their work experience, statement of purpose and understanding of the local Jaipur demographics. It is mandatory for all shortlisted volunteers to attend all training and orientation sessions prior to the Festival.

What is JBM?

Jaipur BookMark (JBM) is the B2B segment initiative of the Jaipur Literature Festival. It provides a platform for publishers, literary agents, translation agencies and writers to meet, talk business deals; listen to speakers from across the world and perhaps even sign the occasional contract. JBM 2016 attracted delegations from the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, France, Norway as well as key Indian language publishers.

What is School Registration/School Days?

School Registrations are exclusively for schools bringing their students to the Festival. In 2018, the 25th, 26th and 29th January will be allocated as School Days, wherein schools can bring batches of their students accompanied by teachers. All students and schools should pre-register online for free to ensure that you do not have to stand in long queues when you arrive at the Festival Hub. On ground registration will cost INR 300 per person. School groups will not be allowed to visit on the 27th & 28th January. Individual students with their guardians may attend independently with family and friends.

Please Note: All students must carry their school ID cards for security reasons.
What documents do I need to bring to the Festival?

Everyone (including children) is required to carry a valid photo identification of themselves (photocopies will be accepted), their registration code or a printed copy of their registration. Absence of any required documents may result in refusal of entry.
