Amod K. Kanth

Amod K. Kanth is an Indian social entrepreneur and former IPS officer. He founded Prayas in 1988, serving as its General Secretary. He also chaired the DCPCR (Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights) and DWSSC (Domestic Workers Sector Skill Council). Kanth is celebrated for his work with underprivileged children, youth, and women nationwide, earning accolades like the 'Global Hero' against Human Trafficking from the US Government. He received awards for his police work, including Meritorious, Distinguished, and Gallantry awards from the President of India. Kanth is a leading advocate for child rights, juvenile justice, and pro-poor innovations in criminal justice and police reforms. His recent books, Khaki in Dust Storm: Police Diaries Volume-1 and Khaki on Broken Wings: Police Diaries Volume-2, are bestsellers.
