What facilities/benefits do I get as a Festival Delegate?
  • The Delegate access card will give you a VIP experience of the Festival. Wine and Dine with the authors. Get invited to incredible events. Meet people like yourself from around the world.
  • An access badge that enables entry to the Festival Hub- Diggi Palace and the Music Hub – Hotel Clarks Amer. Entry and seating at session venues is on a first-come basis.
  • A Festival tote bag with the Festival Brochure and Programme.
  • Lunch at the Festival Hub in the exclusive Author & Delegate Area located adjacent to the Front Lawns (25 – 29 January 2018).
  • Dinner at the Music Hub – Hotel Clarks Amer at the Author & Delegate Area, an exclusive section located by the pool tucked away from the Main Stage. (25 – 28 January 2018).
  • Access to the Delegate Lounge for those wanting to grab a complimentary refreshment or take a break from the crowds.
  • On 26, 27, 28 January, 2.30pm onwards, The Baithak will be exclusively accessible to Delegates only to leisurely enjoy the special sessions.
  • Free entry to all concerts at the Music Stage – Hotel Clarks Amer. (25 – 28 January 2018)
  • Access to Under the Stars at Hawa Mahal. Attend an evening celebrating the heritage and richness of Indian culture at the iconic Hawa Mahal on 26 January.
  • Access to the Majestic Evening at Amber Fort. Savour an evening of performances by maestros at the glorious Amber Fort on 27 January.
  • A special cocktail evening will be hosted exclusively for the festival delegates on 28 January at the Delegates Lounge.

How much does it cost to become a Festival Delegate?

The Festival Delegate Package (per person) is:

  • 1 day: INR 6000
  • 2 days: INR 11000
  • 3 days: INR 15000
  • 4 days: INR 20000
  • 5 days: INR 22000
  • 29 January (only): INR 3000
(*The above prices include GST – Goods & Services Tax refers to tax collected by the Government of India from service providers for providing certain services. The above does not include cost for accommodation and transport.)
Are there any discounts/special benefits if I’m a returning participant/delegate?

All Festival Delegates, new and returning, registering for five days can take advantage of our ‘5 for the Price of 4’ offer, where you’ll only have to pay for four days but can attend the Festival all five days.

Can I pick up my Festival Delegate pass/badge before JLF starts so as to avoid the queues?

Yes, pre-festival registration and collection of badges will take place from 21-23 January 2018 between 10am to 6pm at Diggi Palace, the Festival Hub in Jaipur.

Will I get access to the Authors’ Lounge if I am a Festival Delegate?

No, a Festival Delegate does not have access to the Authors’ Lounge. However, there is a dedicated Festival Delegate Lounge for those wanting to grab a complimentary refreshment or take a break from the crowds.

By registering as a Festival Delegate can I become a Speaker at the Festival?

No, a Festival Delegate is not a Festival Speaker.

What is in the Festival Delegate goodie bag?

A person registering as a Festival Delegate will receive an official Festival tote bag with some special surprises, including the Festival Brochure and Programme. The contents of the bag vary from year to year. The tote bag can also be purchased from the Festival Merchandise store should anyone be keen to do so.

Is access to the Music Stage venue included in the Festival Delegate package?

Yes, as a Festival Delegate you will have access to the Music Stage at Hotel Clarks Amer on the day/s that you have registered for.

What is the minimum age to register as a Festival Delegate?

The minimum age to register as a Festival Delegate is 12 years.

Can I attend the Writers’ Ball as a Festival Delegate?

No, invites to the Writers’ Ball are not included in the Festival Delegate package. The Writers’ Ball is by invitation only.

Are Festival Delegate passes transferrable?

Paid registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Are Press registrations separate from Festival Delegate registrations?

Yes, press registrations are for media persons officially representing print, broadcast and electronic media. Press personnel can choose to become Delegates if they are not covering the Festival.
