Jenny Bhatt’s evocative translations of the twentieth-century Gujarati short story pioneer, Dhumketu, brings his poignant tales to life. In an engrossing session with writer and journalist Salil Tripathi, Jenny speaks of the range of Dhumketu’s varied oeuvre across more than 600 stories, 36 novels as well as plays and travelogues.
