Zulfikar Hirji

Zulfikar Hirji is a historian and anthropologist of Islam and Muslim societies. His publications include Diversity and Pluralism in Muslim Contexts, The Ismailis: An Illustrated History, Between Empires: Sheikh-Sir Mbarak al-Hinawy (1896-1959) and Approaches to the Qur’an in sub-Saharan Africa. He is Associate Professor of Anthropology at York University, Toronto.
