Yasmine El Rashidi
Yasmine El Rashidi is a regular contributor to The New York Review of Books, a Contributing Editor of the Middle East arts and culture journal Bidoun and the author of The Battle for Egypt: Dispatches from the Revolution and Chronicle of a Last Summer, A Novel of Egypt, which was long-listed for the PEN Open Book Award. Her reportage and essays have been anthologised widely, including in Best American Nonrequired Reading, The New York Review Abroad: Fifty Years of International Reportage and Diaries of an Unfinished Revolution. She is a former fellow of the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at The New York Public Library and was a visiting professor at Princeton University. She is a Contributing Op-ed Writer to The New York Times.
