Victoria Lautman is a cultural journalist and lecturer. After working at the Smithsonian Institution, she began writing for dozens of international publications and hosted several radio programmes in Chicago. Lautman has travelled extensively in India for 30 years where her obsession with stepwells resulted in The Vanishing Stepwells of India.
