Ujan Dutta is a self-taught illustrator and graphic designer based in India. Dutta has been drawing the superhuman and the extraordinary since he first could hold a pencil. The ability of fantasy, in particular, to take the viewer into a world of infinite possibility, the magical, unreal and unknown has always fascinated him. Magic realism, mystical, miraculous situations and vistas take centre stage in his work. While loosely based on the depictions of the divine in Hindu mythology, the style in these works is completely and inimitably his own. Dutta independent work has been exhibited in India and abroad. Professionally, he has worked on numerous visual communication projects including the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival itself.
