Tripti Pandey

Tripti Pandey is the author of the historical fiction The Half Empress, published by Ebury Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House. Her other books include the award-winning coffee table book India’s Elephants: A Cultural Legacy, Where Silence Sings on the Performing Traditions of Rajasthan, Rajasthan’s Silver Jewellery: A Living Legacy, and Pushkar: Colours of the Indian Mystique. Deeply passionate about promoting tourism in India with a focus on living traditions and intangible heritage, Pandey was named the Woman of the Year by the Merchant’s Chamber of Commerce for her pioneering work in Cultural Tourism. She was also awarded the Maharaja Bishen Singh Award by The City Palace Museum Trust, Jaipur. Her landmark achievement has been the creation of the Desert Festival at Jaisalmer, which unfolded the living traditions of performing arts and crafts.
