Tripti Pandey is a well-known name in the field of tourism and culture and travel writing. Often termed as Rajasthan’s Cultural Ambassador, she has been a pioneer in researching and presenting living heritage in creating international level festivals like the Desert Festival- Jaisalmer, exhibitions. Her books include Where Silence Sings, a book on Rajasthan’s folk music and dance, Rajasthan’s Silver Jewellery and Pushkar: Colours of the Indian Mystique. For her book on Elephants in Indian Culture, a subject close to her heart, she spent five years researching across India. She is a recipient of many awards, including the prestigious Gold Cross of the President of Austria and the Maharajah Bishen Singh Award of the Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust, Jaipur.
