Surina Narula

Surina Narula, MBE, founder and sponsor of the Jaipur Literature Festival, instituted the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature in 2010. As co-founder of the Consortium for Street Children, she put the rights of street children at the UN level, increasing their visibility worldwide. Narula is the trustee of ‘Television for Environment’, which uses the power of films to help build a more sustainable planet, and ‘Difficult Dialogues’, an annual forum examining issues of contemporary relevance in South Asia.
