As a child, Venkatraman loved the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome as she grew up reading fairy tales and comics. In her teens, she switched her attention to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading these, she tried to visualise what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India. Her imagination took flight and then came the writing – a true bolt out of the blue! And Venkatraman has never looked back.
