Suman Ghosh is a Professor of Economics at Florida Atlantic University. He did his BSc with a major in economics from Presidency College, Calcutta. After that, he obtained his master’s degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics before joining Cornell in 1996, where he did his PhD. Ghosh is a National Award-winning filmmaker who has directed films like Podokkhep, Dwando, Nobel Chor, Shyamal Uncle Turns off the Lights, Kadambari, Peace Haven, Basu Poribar, Searching for Happiness and Aadhaar (forthcoming). He also directed the documentary on Amartya Sen, titled The Argumentative Indian.
