Steven Pinker

Steven Pinker, a Johnstone Professor of Psychology at Harvard, is an experimental psychologist who researches visual cognition, psycholinguistics, and social relations. An elected member of the National Academy of Sciences, two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, Humanist of the Year, recipient of nine honorary doctorates and several other accolades, Pinker was Chair of the Usage Panel of the American Heritage Dictionary. Some of his critically-acclaimed books include The Language Instinct, How the Mind Works, The Blank Slate, The Better Angels of Our Nature, The Sense of Style, Enlightenment Now and Rationality: What It Is, Why It Seems Scarce, Why It Matters.
