Sara Rai is a writer and literary translator. She has published three collections of stories and a novel in Hindi. The German translation by Johanna Hahn of her selected short fiction, Im Labyrinth, won the Coburg Rückert Prize 2019. Her most recent work of translation (with Arvind Krishna Mehrotra) is of Vinod Kumar Shukla’s Blue is Like Blue. She is currently working on a volume of stories in Hindi and a memoir in English.
