WRITER, POET, ARTIST & FILMMAKER
Sangeeta Gupta is a poet, artist and filmmaker. A number of her works have been translated into other languages. Antas Se, Samundra Se Lautati Nadi and Iss Par Uss Par have been translated into Bangla. Her collection of poems Pratinaad was translated into Bangla, English and German. Weaves of Time is a collection of English poetry and was translated in Greek while Sparsh Ke Gulmohar, a collection of Hindi poems, were translated into Dogri. Her other works include Nagfani Ke Jungle, a collection of short stories, Ladakh: Knowing the Unknown, a collection of poems in English and photography and the anthologies Song of Silence and Beparwah Ruh. Her book Lekhak ka Samay is a compilation of interviews of eminent women writers in Hindi. She is also an artist with 32 solo exhibitions to her credit. She has also directed seven documentary films.
