Ruchira Gupta is a feminist campaigner, writer, NYU visiting professor and founder of Apne Aap Women Worldwide, an Indian anti-sex trafficking organisation. She has won an Emmy, the Clinton Global Citizen Award and the French Légion d’honneur. She has edited two anthologies, titled River of Flesh & Other Stories and The Essential Gloria Steinem Reader. She dreams of a world in which no human being is bought or sold. The #MeToo campaign was started at her dining table with Ashley Judd speaking to a New York Times reporter.
