Ranjit Hoskote is a poet, critic, cultural theorist and independent curator who is the recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award, the Sahitya Akademi Golden Jubilee Award and the Sahitya Akademi Prize for Translation. His collections of poetry include Vanishing Acts, Central Time, Jonahwhale, and Hunchprose. His translation of a celebrated fourteenth century Kashmiri woman mystic’s poetry has appeared as I, Lalla: The Poems of Lal Ded.
