Per J. Andersson is a Swedish writer and journalist. He is the co-founder and editor of Vagabond, Sweden’s leading travel magazine. He came to India the first time back in 1983 on a 6 month trip as a backpacker and has since returned once or twice a year to report about everything from food and travel to social issues, literature and politics. Between 2007 and 2009, he was a freelance correspondent in India for the Swedish news agency TT. He has written several books about India, including Modern India and The Elephant Who Began to Dance. His latest book, partly set in India, is the nonfiction work, The Amazing Story of the Man Who Cycled from India to Europe for Love. It was published in Swedish in 2013 and in English in 2017. It has been translated into 15 languages worldwide, including Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean and Russian. His latest book, For Those Who Travel the World is Beautiful, is about the art of travel and ask questions about why we travel and how it affects our perception of the world.
