Parvati Sharma’s debut was a collection of short stories titled The Dead Camel and Other Stories of Love. She has also written the novel Close to Home, a historical biography titled Jahangir: An Intimate Portrait of a Great Mughal and two books for children, The Story of Babur and Rattu & Poorie's Adventures in History: 1857. She writes a column on books and history for The Hindu BusinessLine and is working on her second work of narrative nonfiction.
