Paramita Satpathy is an influential voice in Odia Literature, with twenty books published to her credit. Her works have been extensively translated to other Indian languages; prominent among those are Intimate Pretense, A Boundless Moment, and Colours of Loneliness, Dur Ka Pahad, and Chandan Ke Phul. Paramita has received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award, Bhartiya Bhasha Parishad Yuva Puraskar, and Assam Sahitya Sabha Samman, among many others.
