Om Thanvi


Om Thanvi is a fellow of the Raza Foundation working on research on Luigi Pio Tessitori, an Italian philologist and explorer who worked and died in Rajasthan. He is also the author of the travelogue Muanjodaro, which focuses on Mohenjo-daro, located in the Indus Valley and one of the world’s earliest major cities. Muanjodaro won the Shasher Samman, the SAARC Literary Award and the Bihari Samman. He has also edited two volumes of memoirs on renowned Hindi litterateur S.H. Vatsyayan titled Agyeya for his birth centennial. Thanvi was also awarded the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Puraskar for his contribution to Hindi journalism by the President of India.
