Mukulika Banerjee is a professor at LSE and was the Inaugural Director of the LSE South Asia Centre from 2015-2020. She has published extensively on Indian democracy and her brand new book, Cultivating Democracy: Politics and Citizenship in Agrarian India, is published by Oxford University Press in 2021/2022.
