Mridul Haloi is one of the most prominent and original voices in contemporary Assamese poetry.He received Assam’s prestigious Munin Borkotoky Award for his debut collection Akole Aso, Kushale Aso. In 2015, he received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar for the same book. Aamar Bhal Hobo is his second poetry collection. He has also written various prose, essays, and articles, and done a series of interviews with authors and political personalities. He is a journalist by profession and currently works as a sub-editor for the Assam Tribune Group.
