Miranda (MJ) Carter is the author of five books, including the award-winning Anthony Blunt: His Lives about the World War two Cambridge spy, The Three Emperors, which is about the dysfunctional family relationships of European royalty before World War One and an acclaimed series of historical thrillers, the first of which, The Strangler Vine, is set in India in 1837. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
