Meena Kandasamy, FRSL, is an anti-caste activist, poet, novelist, and translator. Her most notable work of poetry is the feminist text Ms. Militancy (2010). She has also authored three novels, including the Women’s Prize shortlisted When I Hit You (2017). She received PEN-Germany’s Hermann Kesten Prize in 2022. Her latest work is The Book of Desire (translations from the Tirukkural).
