Marina Warner

Marina Warner is a writer of fiction and cultural history. Her award-winning books explore myths and fairy tales such as From the Beast to the Blonde: On Fairy Tales and their Tellers and Stranger Magic: Charmed States and the Arabian Nights. She is currently Professor of English and Creative Writing, Birkbeck College, a distinguished Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, and a Fellow of the British Academy. In 2015, she was awarded the Holberg Prize in the Arts and Humanities, and has served as the first woman President of the Royal Society of Literature. Her most recent book, Inventory of a Life Mislaid, explores her childhood in Egypt.
