Manisha Chaudhry has many years of experience as a publishing professional and as a consultant in the social development sector. An editor, translator and writer fluent in Hindi and English, her work has been published by Kali for Women, Oxford University Press, Zubaan Books, Niyogi Books, Pratham Books and Permanent Black. Manisha runs her own not for profit publishing house, Manan Books with a strong focus on equity in education, publishing multilingually for children and teachers. Among many initiatives to democratise the joy of reading among all children, she also spearheaded the initiative of the Children’s Outreach of the Jaipur Literature Festival. She is a severally published author of children’s books and has translated numerous others.
