Malashri Lal is an academic, editor and writer with sixteen books to her credit. She retired as a Professor from the English Department of the University of Delhi with a specialisation in literature and gender studies. Malashri was Senior Consultant to the Ministry of Culture and is an active member of international book award juries. She is currently on the English Advisory Board of the Sahitya Akademi.
