Madhura Godbole is a senior professor at the American Institute of Indian Studies. She also works as a part time faculty of Sanskrit for YALE - NUS University of Singapore. Professor Godbole is widely acclaimed for her original contributions in the teaching of Sanskrit to western PhD. students and scholars. She has written numerous short stories in Sanskrit and has composed dance dramas in Sanskrit for Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dancers. She is also a professional classical singer of north Indian music.
