Kaushik Bhaumik is Associate Professor in Cinema Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He has been Deputy Director of the Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema. Bhaumik is co-editor of Visual Sense: A Cultural Reader, dates.sites: Project Cinema City and Project Cinema City, and has also edited the Marg centennial issue on the 100 years of Indian cinema. He has written extensively on various aspects of Indian film history in international journals and anthologies. His monograph on early Bombay cinema is due from Jadavpur University Press in 2023.
