Kala Ramesh is a 2020 Pushcart Prize-nominated poet, editor and anthologist. She is the Founder and Director of Triveni Haikai India, and the founder and managing editor of haikuKATHA journal. She has authored haiku! for children, a book on haiku and haibun - Beyond the Horizon Beyond, which was shortlisted for the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize in 2019; and a book on tanka, tanka prose and tanka doha titled the forest i know, published by HarperCollins. Ramesh has been a speaker at international haiku conferences, and was longlisted for the WE Kamala Das Poetry Award 2020, and received the WE Trailblazer Poet Award 2020, from Women Empowered – India.
