Jonaki Ray is a scientist by education and training, and now a poet, writer, and editor in New Delhi. Honours for her work include 2018 Pushcart and Forward Prize for Best Single Poem nominations, as well the 2019 Iceland Writers Retreat Alumni Award. Her poetry and essays have been published in Poetry, Poetry Wales, The Rumpus, Indian Literature, The Indian Express, Hindustan Times, and elsewhere. She is the author of Firefly Memories and Lessons in Bending.
