John Zubrzycki is the author most recently of The House of Jaipur, which tells the inside story of India’s most glamorous royal family. His other books are Jadoowallahs, Jugglers and Jinns, which traces the evolution of India’s conjuring traditions, The Last Nizam: The Rise and Fall of India’s Greatest Princely State and The Mysterious Mr Jacob: Diamond Merchant, Magician and Spy. A former Deputy Foreign Editor at The Australian newspaper, he has worked in India as a foreign correspondent and diplomat. He has a PhD in Indian history from the University of NSW.
