John Elliott is a foreign correspondent and author, who was based in New Delhi for over 25 years until May 2018. He is the author of IMPLOSION: India’s Tryst with Reality, which reviews Narendra Modi’s first five years as prime minister in its 2019 edition. Now living in London, he writes a blog on South Asia current affairs called ‘Riding the Elephant’, and is on the editorial board of the Commonwealth’s Round Table magazine.
