Jeffrey Gettleman

Jeffrey Gettleman, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, is a foreign correspondent for The New York Times. He specialises in covering conflict and has written vivid reports from India, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Congo and more than eighty other countries. Gettleman served as Bureau Chief in New Delhi and Nairobi, among other places. He studied philosophy at Cornell University before winning a Marshall Scholarship to study Anthropology at Oxford. He is the author of Love, Africa: A Memoir of Romance, War and Survival.
