J.J. Valaya is a part of the pioneering group of Indian fashion designers and one of the few who initiated the concept of fashion in modern India. He is a founding member on the Board of Governors of the FAshion Design Council and was the first official brand ambassador for Swarovski in India. A larger than life approach to luxury has been a distinguishing hallmark as has been his love for India. Alongside a successful career in fashion, Valaya has indulged in and fostered an increasing love for the visual arts. In 2011, he debuted ‘Decoded Paradox’, a show based on Delhi and its feudal past through a composition of portraiture that infused art, fashion and photography. In 2012, he presented his second show titled ‘The Soul in Space’, based on key architectural influences in his life. He is currently working on his third show slated for early 2018.
