Hans Jacob Frydenlund is currently the Norwegian Ambassador to India. Prior to this, he was the Director for UN Policy in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Frydenlund has served in Chile, at the Norwegian Mission to the European Union in Brussels, at the Norwegian Mission to the United Nations in New York, and as the Norwegian Representative to the Palestinian Authority. An economist by education, he has worked for thirteen years in different capacities with conflict resolution in Africa. He has also served as the Press Spokesperson for International Development in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
