Gurcharan Das is the author of the trilogy: The Difficulty of Being Good; India Unbound; and Kama, the Riddle of Desire. He has also written a novel, A Fine Family, and an anthology, Three Plays. He studied philosophy at Harvard and was CEO of Procter & Gamble India before becoming a full-time writer. He is general editor of Penguin’s 14 volume Story of Indian Business. His memoir, Another Sort of Freedom, has just been published by Penguin.
