Gloria Berbena

Gloria Berbena joined the U.S. Diplomatic Corps in 1989.  A member of the Senior Foreign Service, Berbena has served as the Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy to the U.S. Mission to India since 2021.  She previously served as Charge d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in San Jose, Costa Rica; as Minister Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Rome; as Senior Advisor to the Executive Secretary in Washington, D.C.; Executive Assistant/Chief of Staff to the Undersecretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs; and as Director of the Office of Public Diplomacy in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.  Other overseas service includes public diplomacy positions in Havana, Athens, Naples, Rome, and Bangkok.
