David Roche has been Chairman of the Music Department at Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle, Director of Arts Education for Chicago Public Schools and Executive Director at Old Town School of Folk Music, Chicago, Blue Bear School of Music, San Francisco and the Western Folklife Center, Elko, Nevada. He currently consults on nonprofit arts and culture projects and policies.
