Colm Tóibín is Irene and Sidney B. Silverman Professor of the Humanities at Columbia University, and the author of ten novels, including The Master and Brooklyn and two collections of stories. His work has been translated into more than thirty languages. In 2021, he was awarded the David Cohen Prize.
