Benjamin Dix is a Senior Fellow at SOAS, University of London. He was based in Tamil Tiger-controlled Vanni in northern Sri Lanka with the UN from 2004 to 2008 throughout the conflict. Dix is the Founding Director of PositiveNegatives that produce literary comics exploring complex social and human rights issues by adapting personal testimonies into art, education and advocacy materials. Vanni. A Family’s Struggle through the Sri Lankan Conflict is his debut graphic novel, adapting testimonies from survivors of the Sri Lankan conflict into sequential art.
