Balram Shukla

Balram Shukla, a faculty member of the Sanskrit department at the University of Delhi, is currently a Fellow at IIAS, Shimla. He holds University degrees in Sanskrit and Persian, with gold medals, and has three Sanskrit and two Persian poetry collections, among other books, to his credit. Shukla has translated several Persian texts directly into Hindi, and has been frequently invited for academic and cultural programmes in India and Iran. He was conferred with the prestigious Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman by the President of India and other awards.
