Arjun Subramaniam is a retired fighter pilot from the Indian Air Force. He is one of India’s leading military historians and the author of two definitive volumes on contemporary Indian military history, India’s Wars: A Military History 1947-1971 and Full Spectrum: India’s Wars 1972-2020. He is currently the President’s Chair of Excellence at the National Defence College and was earlier a Visiting Fellow at The Harvard Asia Centre and Oxford University’s Changing Character of War Programme.
