Arambam Ongbi Memchoubi is a critic, editor, academic and poet. She is the author of numerous books, including seven collections of poetry and two travelogues. She is the recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award for her poetry collection Idu Ningthou. Her poems have been translated into English, German, Italian and other major Indian languages, and published in various anthologies.
