Anubha Mehta has a doctorate in Political Science and over two decades of Canadian public service experience. She has been a Bharatnatyam dancer, theatre-actor, TV-star, painter and a poet. She led the development of the first Inclusion Strategy for the Regional Government of Peel in Canada and has been awarded for her work with diverse Canadian communities. Following a spate of academic writing, Mehta’s novel Peacock in the Snow was selected by Toronto Arts Council’s Lit up platform, a part of the International Festival of Authors. She continues to work with NGOs in both Canada and India on issues of gender enfranchisement, emancipation through education and the harnessing the power of local communities.
