Ajay Pal Lamba is a member of the Indian Police Service (Rajasthan cadre). Since 2005 he has worked as Superintendent of Police in the districts of Jhunjhunu, Pali, Jaipur rural, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Alwar. He is the current Addl Commissioner of Police, Jaipur. As DCP Jodhpur, he supervised the investigation leading to the arrest of infamous Saint Asharam Bapu in 2013 in a sexual assault of a minor girl. He is the author of the book Gunning for the Godman.
