Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee is the Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a founder and co-Director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) along with Esther Duflo and Sendhil Mullainathan. His latest book is Good Economics for Hard Times, co-authored with Professor Esther Duflo. Banerjee is a 2019 co-winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics.
